PTO Board
Position Descriptions
President- Nicole Bender
• Presides over PTO meetings
• Coordinate the work of the PTO officers and committees
• Maintain PTO Annual calendar
• Set agenda for Board and general meetings
• Act as liaison between school and parents
• Work with School, PTO Board and committee chairs on budget and goals for each event or program
• Fall PTO and Committee drive
Secretary- Kim Chevalier
• Records minutes and attendance of meetings and provide copies to board members
• Handles all necessary PTO correspondence
• PTO newsletter
Treasurer- Jennifer Young
• Keep all financial records current and in order
• Coordinate the handling of money for all PTO functions
• Prepares and presents financial statements and annual report
• Files required IRS reports and forms
VP- Fundraising- Nicole Curl
• Review and recommend annual fundraisers
• Work with Committee Chairs to coordinate all PTO fundraisers including but not limited to:
• Christmas Banquet
• Legacy Links
• RFE
• Yard Sale
VP- Family and Teachers Programs- Tara Tennant
• Review, recommend and implement events throughout the year to promote family involvement
• Work with Committee Chairs to coordinate the following programs:
• Welcome Committee
• Hospitality
• Teacher Appreciation
VP- Student Programs- Beth Schardt
• Review, recommend and implement student enrichment programs or events
• Work with Committee Chairs to organize student programs including but not limited to:
• Swap shop
• Roar Store
• Used Books
• Valentine Grams
• Yearbook Committee
Volunteer Coordinator- Angie Condley
• Compile and maintain master list of volunteers
• Coordinate volunteers for PTO Board, Committee Chairs and school personnel as needed
Publicity- Jennifer Unnasch
• Advertise all PTO events and fundraisers
• Collect and compile photographs of PTO events for the year
Room Parent Coordinator- Amy McFarland
• Organize Room Moms and advises them on classroom parties, semester socials and general duties
• Acts as liaison between PTO and Room Mom regarding all PTO events
• Coordinate Box Top collection and winning class parties
