On February 10-11, children’s author Ronda Friend put on a show for the families at Legacy, displaying the children’s books she has written. Ronda’s stories revolve around her childhood on a farm in Ohio called Friendly Acres.
It’s obvious to see that her family and life experiences are important to Ronda. She said her books are about “sowing seeds of a different kind,” and are 75% true, which keeps them interesting and still mostly true.
Ronda said her favorite part about writing stories is letting God give her the ideas and waiting on him to tell her. She was inspired to travel around the country talking about her books by knowing that God gave her this talent for a reason. She believes this is what she should do with it. She also said that if she could tell the kids at Legacy one thing it would be “to hear God’s voice, and when they hear God’s voice, to act on it.”
If you had a chance to see Ronda I think you would agree that she is using God’s gifts to her to further his kingdom. |

Student Life is all about providing students and families the opportunity to get involved. It gives the parents and students time to fellowship with the faculty and other Legacy parents that share the same Christian values.
The benefits for the students include close friendships and positive peer influence. Legacy students may participate in an array of activities designed to enrich their academic experience such as: Bible studies to sporting events, awards banquets to author visits, mission projects to fine arts field trips. We believe it is vital to provide our students, parents and faculty the opportunity to connect and fellowship together in a way that facilitates joyful relationships and glory to our Lord.
Our Student Activities and Parent-Teacher Organization strive to:
• Enhance the educational and academic process • Create opportunities for leadership development • Develop relationships and build community • Offer opportunities for service and mission work • Provide fun and wholesome recreational activities • Promote Christian values and character development At Legacy our vision and mission is centered on Christ and academics plus so much more. And there are many ways to get involved! We encourage you to join the fun and explore these opportunities.
Check out our Student Life Newsletter for more information on activities and events.
