Audra May
Head Administrator
I was born the oldest daughter in a family of four children. My mother and father were wonderful parents, both of whom love Jesus and demonstrated that on a daily basis. In all that we did and everywhere we went, we were always taught to live our faith and be doers of the word, not just hearers only. My parents lived this out as my father has been a deacon in his local church for over 30 years and my mother, the pastor’s secretary.
I graduated from High School in a small town in Texas and went on to play basketball in college. I graduated from Texas A&M and married my husband, Brandon. As of 2010, we have been married for 16 years and have four awesome and incredibly handsome boys, Travis, 12, Ryan, 11, Jared, 10 and David, 5. We are avid Dallas Cowboy fans and love anything that requires bats, gloves, helmets or goals! Brandon and I will forever be in bleachers until the boys move on to college!
God called me to Legacy in the most unique way. When my oldest son was entering PreK I began to look into his options for Kindergarten. After visiting the local public school, I knew I did not want to pursue that route. Our next step was to investigate private schooling which was fine for one child, but not realistic for four children. As I began to explore my options I was introduced to NAUMS (National Association of University Model Schools). After speaking with their director, I was sold. I began talking with parents and drumming up support, never believing that I would someday be running a school. But, six years later, here I am. I count serving as Legacy’s Head Administrator as one of the most beloved blessings I’d ever had the privilege to receive.
One of the great things about Legacy, and the reason God gave me the vision to begin this school, was so that my children would know what they believed and why they believed it. Like their grandparents had taught me, our faith was to be lived out loud so that others would come to know Christ. I am so thankful for the additional time I have been given with my children because of the UMS model. Our motto is, “Here am I! Send me!” Isaiah 6:8. I want my children to be the hands and feet of Jesus as they stand firm in their faith and unashamedly proclaim the good news. I can’t wait to see how God’s plan unfolds for them and what adventures he has in store for their future.

Melissa Eickenhorst
Middle School Academic Supervisor/Reading Specialist
The house that I grew up in is right around the corner from Legacy! My drive down 1488 is a very familiar one, as I attended school in Conroe ISD and graduated from Conroe High School. While in high school, I met and fell in love with my husband, Willie. He graduated a year before me and attended college at Baylor University. Of course, I followed him straight to Waco! I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Baylor with a specialization in Reading. The summer after graduation, I married my best friend and true love. Four years later, God blessed us with our son, Nate, who will attend Kindergarten at Legacy this year. My daughter, Anna, is two years old, and her smile and giggle can light up a room!
After graduation, I taught 5th-6th grade in CISD until Nate was born. Four years later, God called me back into the classroom at Legacy, as a part-time teacher. Soon, I found myself teaching a very full load of 5th-8th Language Arts and 6th grade History. Although my schedule was a busy one, I was abundantly blessed by each of my students and their families, and felt the Lord refining my character and dependence on Him!
As the Lower School Dean of Curriculum and Reading Specialist, my desire is to assist in instilling a lifelong passion for learning in each of Legacy’s students’ lives through a close partnership with the parents and teachers at LPCA. The opportunity to help develop and choose curriculum allows me to work closely with two of my passions: children and books. My goal is to see each student grow in God’s truth by viewing content in each of their classes through a biblical worldview. I hope that each student is academically challenged and strengthened spiritually through their learning at Legacy Prep.
My favorite scripture is Joshua 1:9, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Leah Ford
Athletic Director
I grew up in the beautiful Woodlands, Texas with my very large family and most of my close relatives! (There are lots of DePrangs here!!) I attended Texas A&M University and graduated in 2002! Whoooop! I married my best friend, Duncan, on a beautiful day in the Texas hill country in November.
I played basketball for a coach that inspired me in ways that had nothing to do with the game of basketball. A great coach is someone who always makes you do what you don’t want to do, so you can be who you’ve always wanted to be. She knew the value of building our character through hot summer days on the track and making us “run just one more, it’ll make you better than them…” and learning sincere sportsmanship even after winning 74 district games in a row. I admire her and still keep a great relationship, one that I will be able to use as we build our Legacy Basketball teams. This experience, as well as others, will be helpful as I reach our student athletes. I recently trained and completed my first marathon, in no record time, but I learned more about my faith in the six months of training and searched my heart more than I ever have in my entire Christian life. I met several people in the running community that have a love for student athletes that we can use as we look at building a track team. Being in The Woodlands area for 19 years, my family and I have built many great relationships with local businesses and families; connections that will help us grow our Legacy Athletics.
I am so excited to see what God has planned for Legacy Athletics. I look forward to this opportunity and serving our families
One of my favorite passages of scripture is Galatians 6:9. “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”

Jeana Francis
Director of Program Support
I am the proud mother of four (Barrett, Ethan, Molly and Wyatt) and wife of one (Brian). I was born and raised in south Louisiana. In August of 2006, my husband’s job transferred us to Spring, Texas. This was a hard and stressful move for me having grown up very near and dear to family and friends. However, I have developed a new family here in Texas, my Legacy sisters. I remember the day I met a great friend at the baseball field and, not knowing she was the Head Administrator of Legacy, I poured out my heart of how I needed to find “something to do.” Little did I know it would lead to this! I feel blessed to have started at Legacy as the Administrative Assistant and now to be the Director of Program Support. What started out as just a job, has turned into so much more. I truly love the school, it’s staff and most importantly, it’s students.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, cooking, gardening, scrapbooking and sewing. My favorite bible verse is Matthew 7:7-8 which reads As and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; Knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

Rebecca Hogan
Dean of Student Life
I graduated from high school in a small East Texas town , received a bachelors degree from Stephen F. Austin ,and a masters degree from the University of Houston. I have been married fifteen years, and have two daughters, ages eleven and eight. I enjoy sewing, carpentry, and watching historical documentaries.
I remain constantly grateful for all the blessings I believe Christ has provided in my life’s journey. I have never believed any of the events in my life to be coincidental ,but instead completely planned ,and spiritually guided by the Almighty. This belief has left me so very grateful for the opportunity to teach your children in Legacy’s Christ filled environment. “Seek his will in all you do, and he will direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:6 . I look forward to getting to know you and your children as we study from whence we came (history). Please feel free to email me with any questions/concerns you might have in regards to your child’s education.

Stephanie Koppelman
Dean of Character Development
After three years of prayer, we were thrilled when God’s perfect timing finally allowed our family to come to Legacy. I hoped to get a teaching position, but when I heard about the opportunity to minister to families, I was completely overwhelmed with fear, trembling, and excitement. I can see how the Lord has used the past 10 years of experiences to prepare me for the role of Dean of Family Ministry. Our experience at Legacy has been everything I anticipated and more. Not only has God provided an excellent school for us, but also some really wonderful friends and an extended Christian family.
When not at Legacy, I can be found on my way to Kroger, Target, church, ORWALL, or the swimming pool. I enjoy reading (that’s an understatement!), good movies, bubble baths, cycling, cooking, and spending time with my friends. I have a wonderful husband, a hilarious son, a precious daughter, and a sweet black lab named Jessie.
My most precious possession is my relationship with Jesus, and His word is life to me! One of my favorite verses is Zephaniah 3:17 “The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” My ministry verse is, “The Sovereign Lord has given me an instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being taught.” Isaiah 50:4-5

Dawnette Laycock
Elementary School Academic Supervisor
Growing up as part of an Air Force family was fun. Since my birth, my family has lived in Fort Worth, South Dakota, Guam, and San Antonio. My two sisters and I have experienced everything from blizzards to typhoons together. We love to get together and reminisce about being pulled on a disc sled behind a jeep, wearing tennis shoes in the ocean so we wouldn’t step on a stone fish, and other exciting childhood memories.
After finishing high school in San Antonio, I attended Texas A&M with my best friend from high school. I graduated Cum Laude in 1991 with a degree in Education and Curriculum, specializing in Mathematics. Since then, I have taught in the Spring Branch public schools and worked for Hewitt Associates in the business world. Most recently, I served for 2 years as a children’s pastor at WoodsEdge Community Church and 2 ½ years as their Curriculum Coach Director for PK through 6th grade. God has given me a passion for working with children, adults, and information. I can look back over my employment history and see a beautiful tapestry of experience that He has provided to prepare me for my current role. Ask me sometime about how God moved me from the Curriculum Coach Director role to the Academic Advisor role! He truly is sovereign. : )
I became part of the Legacy family in 2009, teaching 5th Grade Science, 6th Grade Bible, Saxon Math Course 1, Life Science, and Space & Earth Science. I was blessed to move into the role of Academic Advisor in 2010, where I strive to partner with teachers and parents to help our students, as well as teachers, reach their individual potential and reflect God’s character.
I am blessed beyond measure to be married to my soul-mate and best friend, and to have children who light up my life. My husband, Pat, and I have been married for 17 years and have lived in the Spring/Woodlands area for 16 years, as of 2011. We have two children, Jason (12) and Shailey (7). My favorite times are spent with my family and closest of friends.
Isaiah 41: 31 is a special verse in my life. It says, “Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary.”

Jennie Moyer
Business Administrator
My parents gave me a great start in life by exposing me at a young age to Jesus and His love. Because of their faithfulness, their living example and God’s tug on my heart, I became a Christian when I was 5 years old. I am so thankful to have had a relationship with our Savior since I was a young girl. He has been with me and guided me down the path of my life, and it has been a fun adventure! I’m thankful to now be a part of the ministry at Legacy—to help young minds learn and grow.
After growing up in the Florida panhandle, I attended Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama where I received bachelor’s degrees in both Accounting and Spanish. I received a Masters of Accountancy from the University of Virginia. From there, I worked in Washington DC for two years for a large accounting firm where I was able to use both my language and accounting skills. While living there, I met my husband, Caleb. We moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania when we were married, and I began working for a landscaping company in an accounting position. This job also allowed me to use accounting and Spanish. I’m thankful to have an opportunity at Legacy to use these two skill sets again as Business Manager and as a Spanish teacher.
As of 2011, Caleb and I have been married for eight years. We are grateful to have a son, Sutton (4), and a daughter, Hannah (born in May). A verse that is important to our family is Psalm 127:1—“Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain.” I love to see what building plans God has for my life, and I desire to be obedient to Him so I can see His handiwork. I’m thankful that God has given me the opportunity to work at Legacy, and I look forward to seeing Him work in this school.
