Dean of Student Life

The Dean of Student Life is responsible for electives, athletics, fine arts, missions outreach and family events.

I was born and raised in Ponca City, Oklahoma; and graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Oklahoma State University.  I attended college via a basketball scholarship and learned many valuable lessons about sports and life.  After graduation, I went to work for a division of Texaco in Tulsa, OK; and completed my MBA from Oklahoma City University while in the oil & gas industry.

I have been married to my wonderful husband, Chris, for over ten years and we have two sweet children, Dray (7) and Asher (5).  We have been a part of Legacy for two years now, and I love being a part of this ministry.  I am very passionate about sports programs and student events.  Two of my favorite things in life start with the letter B - books and basketball.

My favorite verse is "....for it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God." Ephesians 2:8

Director of Program Support

I am the proud mother of four (Barrett, Ethan, Molly and Wyatt) and wife of one (Brian).  I was born and raised in south Louisiana.  In August of 2006, my husband’s job transferred us to Spring, Texas.   This was a hard and stressful move for me having grown up very near and dear to family and friends.  However, I have developed a new family here in Texas, my Legacy sisters.  I remember the day I met a great friend at the baseball field and, not knowing she was the Head Administrator of Legacy, I poured out my heart of how I needed to find “something to do.”  Little did I know it would lead to this!  I feel blessed to have started at Legacy as the Administrative Assistant and now to be the Director of Program Support.  What started out as just a job, has turned into so much more.  I truly love the school, it’s staff and most importantly, it’s students.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, cooking, gardening, scrapbooking and sewing.  My favorite bible verse is Matthew 7:7-8 which reads As and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; Knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

Head Administrator

I was born the oldest daughter in a family of four children.  My mother and father were wonderful parents, both of whom love Jesus and demonstrated that on a daily basis.  In all that we did and everywhere we went, we were always taught to live our faith and be doers of the word, not just hearers only.  My parents lived this out as my father has been a deacon in his local church for over 30 years and my mother, the pastor’s secretary.

I graduated from High School in a small town in Texas and went on to play basketball in college.  I graduated from Texas A&M and married my husband, Brandon.  As of 2010, we have been married for 16 years and have four awesome and incredibly handsome boys, Travis, 12, Ryan, 11, Jared, 10 and David, 5.  We are avid Dallas Cowboy fans and love anything that requires bats, gloves, helmets or goals!  Brandon and I will forever be in bleachers until the boys move on to college!

God called me to Legacy in the most unique way.  When my oldest son was entering PreK I began to look into his options for Kindergarten.  After visiting the local public school, I knew I did not want to pursue that route.  Our next step was to investigate private schooling which was fine for one child, but not realistic for four children.  As I began to explore my options I was introduced to NAUMS (National Association of University Model Schools).  After speaking with their director, I was sold.  I began talking with parents and drumming up support, never believing that I would someday be running a school.  But, six years later, here I am.  I count serving as Legacy’s Head Administrator as one of the most beloved blessings I’d ever had the privilege to receive.

One of the great things about Legacy, and the reason God gave me the vision to begin this school, was so that my children would know what they believed and why they believed it.  Like their grandparents had taught me, our faith was to be lived out loud so that others would come to know Christ.  I am so thankful for the additional  time I have been given  with my children because of the UMS model.  Our motto is, “Here am I!  Send me!”  Isaiah 6:8.  I want my children to be the hands and feet of Jesus as they stand firm in their faith and unashamedly proclaim the good news.  I can’t wait to see how God’s plan unfolds for them and what adventures he has in store for their future.

Academic Advisor

I am thrilled to be serving Legacy as the Academic Advisor.  I accepted the position so that I could develop it and work along with teachers, students, parents, and other members of administration to help Legacy PCA grow as God intends.

I am also excited about the accreditation process and I am looking forward to being part of such a significant step forward for Legacy.  I am grateful for the opportunity to serve our school and to be a part of each student’s educational and spiritual growth from application to graduation.

I believe that we have an important role to fulfill and I am reminded of the passage from Job 36: 21-23 :“God is exalted in his power. Who is a teacher like him?”  We have been called to be teachers and to serve God by showing the next generation how to follow Him.

Dean of Family Ministries

After three years of prayer, we were thrilled when God's perfect timing finally allowed our family to come to Legacy.  I hoped to get a teaching position, but when I heard about the opportunity to minister to families, I was completely overwhelmed with fear, trembling, and excitement.  I can see how the Lord has used the past 10 years of experiences to prepare me for the role of Dean of Family Ministry.  Our experience at Legacy has been everything I anticipated and more.  Not only has God provided an excellent school for us, but also some really wonderful friends and an extended Christian family.

When not at Legacy, I can be found on my way to Kroger, Target, church, ORWALL, or the swimming pool.  I enjoy reading (that's an understatement!), good movies, bubble baths, cycling, cooking, and spending time with my friends.  I have a wonderful husband, a hilarious 12-year old-son, a precious 9-year-old-daughter, and a sweet black lab named Jessie.

My most precious possession is my relationship with Jesus, and His word is life to me!  One of my favorite verses is Zephaniah 3:17  "The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save.  He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing."  My ministry verse is, "The Sovereign Lord has given me an instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary.  He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being taught."  Isaiah 50:4-5

Dean of Curriculum

As an English and Education major at Texas A&M, God began to give me a deep love for books and teaching.  As Dean of Curriculum, I have found my deepest passions fulfilled in both choosing and utilizing books for the best educational opportunities possible for our student’s at Legacy.  Curriculum opens up the doors of God’s world as we teach our students about God, creation, mankind and our purpose, which I believe is to love God and love people.

As much as I am a book lover, most importantly, I am also a wife and mom.  I have 3 boys and a wonderful husband, who makes me laugh and keeps me from taking life way too seriously.  I love to read, write and run.  I also love a well worn rocking chair on the porch of a beach house on a windy day.

One of my favorite passages of scripture is Luke 10:26-27  He answered, "What's written in God's Law? How do you interpret it?" Jesus said, "That you love the Lord your God with all your passion and prayer and muscle and intelligence—and that you love your neighbor as well as you do yourself."
